About The Position

CAMP is a Family Experience Company launched in 2018, known for our one-of-a-kind shop/play hybrid experience at physical locations across the country. Each CAMP store features rotating themed experiences where families come to play, explore, and create unforgettable memories together. We believe that play connects us all, and at CAMP, play is bigger, bubblier, funnier, fuzzier, slimier, and sillier than anywhere else. This is a Temporary/Contracted Role from April 6th to April 10th We are looking for a Costumed Mascot Performer to perform in an upcoming Character Meet & Greet at CAMP in Charlotte (Southpark Mall). Pay Rate: $22.00 hourly

Requirements

  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING DAYS/SHIFTS: Monday, April 6th - 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday, April 7th - 10 am to 5 pm Wednesday, April 8th - 10 am to 5 pm Thursday, April 9th - 10 am to 5 pm Friday, April 10th - 10 am to 5 pm
  • HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS TO BE ABLE TO FIT INTO MASCOT COSTUME: MUST BE BETWEEN 5’8” ft - 5’10” and size M - XL
  • This is fully costumed, including a bodysuit to be worn underneath the costume and a full headpiece
  • The Mascot costume is full body and head; wearing the costume is an essential function of the position
  • Must be skilled at movement and dance
  • Mascots must never speak in costume, but rather communicate with the public through body language, gestures and the support of the Mascot Handler.
  • The performer must be tall enough for clear visibility through the eye openings.
  • Mascots must never stand still and keep up the animation at all times to make magic happen!
  • Applying force to the mascot costume may damage it - must handle with care during use.
  • Mascots must always be aware of their surroundings with the support of the Mascot Handler and with the safety of guests and team as the top priority.
  • This costume includes a built-in fan that inflates portions of the suit, which may limit audibility and make it difficult to hear while inside. Performers must be comfortable working under these conditions.
  • Must be prepared to collaborate closely with the Mascot Handler to establish clear, safe communication procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of both the team and our guests.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
