About The Position
Are you looking to make a profound difference in your community?SequelCare of Florida is currently seeking candidates for Counselor positions to provide therapy and counseling within the Pasco community. Through a continuum of services, SequelCare provides education, counseling and supervision to individuals and families in their home community. SequelCare professionals work in conjunction with local resources to develop a strength-based plan to support success for our consumers.The Counselor position is responsible for providing initial and ongoing treatment to assigned clients, families, and caregivers seeking mental health services.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in the field of clinical social work, mental health counseling, psychology or related field
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Counselor is preferred
- Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements
- Effective time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Two years experience working with children and families is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides direct clinical outpatient services (office, home, school, community) to the client, including all relevant caregivers and providers as indicated in the client's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
- Coordinates care with other providers to ensure the provision of effective and appropriate services
- Diagnosis assessments, individual counseling, group therapy and multiagency case management with emphasis on the adolescent/family population.
