About The Position

Counter Sales Associate position offers a starting wage of $21 per hour Schedule: Full-time (40+ hours/week) with a set schedule. What You’ll Do Customer Service: Assist contractors and DIYers at the front counter, over the phone, and via email with daily sales, quotes, and product information. Expert Advice: Provide recommendations on lumber, hardware, paint, windows, and doors to help customers complete their projects. Order Management: Build quotes, process special orders, and manage orders for pickup or delivery using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system. Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor, ensuring shelves are properly restocked and displays are current. Team Support: Assist with loading products into customer vehicles and helping fellow team members as needed. What We’re Looking For Skills: Strong customer service, professional communication, and basic computer skills. Knowledge: Familiarity with building materials is a plus, but we are happy to train individuals with a professional attitude and a willingness to learn. Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods. Reliability: Ability to work Saturdays as part of a regular schedule. Why Join T.C. Murphy Lumber?
