About The Position

ESPY LUMBER is seeking reliable and self-motivated individuals to work at our inside sales counter. The successful candidate must be personable, organized, service-oriented, and have computer knowledge in order to process customer orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Some light lifting may be required. This is a critical role, in a dynamic and growing organization, which we need to fill as quickly as possible. Join the Espy Team today! Summary: Assist with customer’s needs, answering telephone inquiries, general housekeeping in respective showroom areas, maintaining products & merchandising displays, as well as maintaining supplier catalogues. Process customer orders quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong computer skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime if needed
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

Nice To Haves

Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) highly preferred

Responsibilities

Greet customers, be helpful & determine needs.
Work with various other departments to get answers to customer questions.
Process credit card transactions.
Keep merchandise displays fresh & attractive in appearance, maintain product identifier tags.
Become familiar with products and pursue product knowledge. Know your customers’ needs. Listen for new products to bring in and stay current with price changes.
Be up to date on product discontinuation or changes.
Maintain supplier brochures with pricing & information.
Verify accuracy of cash transactions, closing the transaction drawer and notify supervisor of discrepancies.
Be alert of suspicious activity to monitor/minimize theft.
Be fully knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
Keeping sales area neat and tidy.
