About The Position

Counterparty Risk Senior Manager The Counterparty Risk Senior Manager is responsible for developing and executing risk methodology and mitigation strategies. This role entails ensuring accurate documentation of partner relationships, including business contacts, evidence of existence, and financial statements. The Senior Manager will lead a team in executing risk strategies while coaching members to identify, manage, and escalate risk effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• At least 6 years of Financial Services Counterparty Risk Management experience
• At least 3 years of people management experience
• At least 3 years of credit or financial analysis experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Experience reviewing financial statements
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets
• Payments industry experience

Responsibilities

• Manage a team, including hiring, performance management, development decisions, and coaching
• Develop and evolve effective Counterparty Risk management programs, including procedures, controls, reporting, and overseeing system enhancements
• Execute Counterparty Risk strategies and programs, ensuring relationships are reviewed in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure appropriate Counterparty due diligence is conducted and all "Know Your Customer" (KYC) elements are collected
• Develop contractual recommendations to mitigate risk and participate in negotiations
• Manages partners at risk
• Ensure partner records are updated following changes in ownership
