Requirements

  • To qualify for the County of Kaua‘i Internship Program, applicants must be a high school graduate and should be enrolled as a university or college student.

Responsibilities

  • The program is designed to provide experience in a variety of areas for student interns such as: Engineering, Accounting, Information Technology, Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, Planning, and many more!
  • Applicants may be placed according to their major field of study or area of interest in the following departments: Finance, Human Resources, Liquor, Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Office of the County Attorney, Office of the Mayor, Kaua'i Police Department, Kaua'i County Council, Economic Development, Planning, Public Works, or Water.
  • PLEASE NOTE: MANDATORY PAID PROGRAM ORIENTATION will be determined based on hire date.
  • All applicants selected for employment may be required to pass a drug screening test, and/or successfully complete a fingerprinting and criminal history record check as required by the position.
