About The Position

The Courtesy Clerk is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers by providing friendly, efficient, and helpful service. This includes bagging groceries, assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store cleanliness, and performing a variety of customer service and support tasks.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing, and helpful attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Basic physical ability: able to stand for extended periods, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and push/pull carts.
Punctual and reliable attendance.
Must be at least 16 years old (based on store policy or legal requirements).

Responsibilities

Greeting customers warmly and assisting in a variety of areas as needed.
Bag groceries quickly and carefully, following best practices for bagging items safely.
Assist customers with carrying bags and loading groceries into their vehicles when requested.
Return shopping carts from the parking lot to the store.
Maintain cleanliness of the front end, restrooms, and store entryways.
Clean up spills and report safety hazards to management immediately.
Stock bags and other supplies at registers.
Help with retrieving or restocking products as needed.
Respond to customer questions or direct them to appropriate store personnel.
Support cashiers and other store departments as requested.
Follow store policies and procedures, including those related to safety and sanitation.
