Crackfill Foreperson
About The Position
Suit-Kote Corporation is seeking an experienced Crack Fill Foreperson to lead and oversee crack sealing operations on asphalt pavements. This role is responsible for supervising crew members, operating crack fill equipment, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety and productivity standards on job sites. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong asphalt maintenance experience and the ability to manage daily field operations efficiently. All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property, job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of crack sealing or asphalt maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of crack filling materials, methods, and equipment
- Ability to read job specifications and follow project plans
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends as required
- Consistently at work and on time
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
- Consent to a DMV license evaluation
- Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Prolonged standing, stretching, stooping, climbing, walking, bending, and kneeling
- Ability to work around hot materials and heavy equipment
- Ability to work in a noisy area with many odors present
- Observe and comply with all necessary PPE requirement
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
Nice To Haves
- Prior foreperson or crew leadership experience preferred
- OSHA training or safety certifications a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crack fill crews on daily job assignments
- Operate and oversee the use of crack sealing equipment and tools
- Plan and coordinate work activities to meet project schedules
- Ensure all work meets Suit-Kote quality standards and customer specifications
- Enforce safety policies, conduct daily job briefings, and maintain a safe work environment
- Perform job site inspections and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Train crew members on proper crack filling techniques and equipment use
- Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, and clients
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and production tracking
- Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs
