About The Position

This is a heavy travel, field -based role supporting multiple job sites across Florida’s east coast. Overnight travel is required. Crane Hoist Technician, Crane Service Technician, Hoist Technician, Crane Maintenance Technician, Overhead Crane Technician, Crane & Hoist Service Tech

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic with a safety -first mindset
  • Knowledge of crane and hoist mechanical theory and lifting techniques
  • Self -motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 200 feet on cranes and hoists
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, tower sections, and crane structures
  • Overtime and weekend work required
  • Extensive travel, primarily throughout the southeastern United States
  • Must be able to travel on short notice
  • Ability to reach, grasp, position, maneuver, and operate hand tools and replacement parts
  • Ability to identify wires and components by color and other distinguishing characteristics
  • Ability to perform fine hand and finger movements on components that are not always visible
  • Ability to lift, carry, position, and hold parts weighing up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to handle loads exceeding 500 pounds using mechanical assistance

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the performance of complex maintenance, service, repair, and troubleshooting of cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all crane and hoist systems
  • Apply strong working knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance
  • Maintain accountability for the safety of the installation and service team
  • Ensure quality standards during crane and hoist erection and dismantle activities
  • Adjust, repair, or replace bearings, brakes, cables, guide rails, counterweights, cable sheaves, and buffers
  • Adjust safety controls, counterweights, and mechanical systems as required
  • Maintain proper cleaning, organization, and placement of tools and work areas
