About The Position

The Crawler Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for implementing and reinforcing Maxim’s Operating Standards as they relate to the Crawler product line across all applicable locations. This role sits within the Crawler division and reports to the Vice President of Crawler, while working in close partnership with field Operations leadership to ensure consistent execution, performance standards, and operational alignment for the specialized Crawler product throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Operations Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong executive-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with the Vice President of Crawler and senior leaders.
  • Advanced knowledge of 5S principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of JCD, Microsoft Office Suite, Rentalman, Samsara, and related operational systems.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to influence service outcomes through operational improvements.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives across locations.
  • Solid understanding of P&L drivers and operational cost management.
  • Demonstrated sound professional judgment and decision-making capability.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in 5S methodology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the operational liaison between Crawler divisional leadership and field Operations Managers to ensure standardized execution of the Crawler product.
  • Partners with the Vice President of Crawler and field Operations leadership to identify performance gaps and implement scalable operational improvements.
  • Provides training, coaching, and guidance to Operations Managers and branch teams on Crawler-specific processes, metrics, and tools.
  • Drives consistency in workflow, product readiness, asset management, and customer experience related to the Crawler product across multiple locations.
  • Supports alignment between divisional Crawler strategy and day-to-day operational execution in the field.
  • Serves as the divisional lead for Crawler-related telematics and asset performance initiatives, collaborating with Fleet, Samsara, and field leadership.
  • Ensures adherence to safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational best practices specific to the Crawler product line.
  • Standardizes reporting cadence and performance metrics at both the divisional and branch levels for Crawler operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the Crawler division and broader operational objectives.
