About The Position

The primary role of the Creative & Design Manager is to help develop the brand narrative in collaboration with the Director of Marketing to craft messaging that identifies and achieves branding and business objectives for the company. The Creative & Design Manager also determines how to most effectively visually communicate that messaging across print, social media, email, and other media and platforms. The Creative & Design manager works with the Director of Marketing, and company leadership to develop and implement the company’s annual strategic marketing plan for Inland Imaging and its associated companies. This position oversees the entire design and production process. The Creative & Design Manager collaborates with the marketing team to help communicate complex concepts; value propositions and messages through clear and compelling design and visual graphics; resulting in high quality communications, including presentations, illustrations, sales collateral, website visuals, tradeshow materials and signage for imaging centers. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent brand standards and managing the visual asset and collateral needs of the company. They also work with freelance designers, photographers, clients, print and sign vendors. The Creative & Design Manager will use a variety of skills in this position, position at Inland combines the skills of a brand manager, graphic designer and art director, relying heavily on layout software, (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft word and presentation programs). The designer will possess artistic ability and be able to think creatively to design eye-catching and effective graphics. Must be able to come up with strategies for layouts and artistic concepts and create visual images that engage, attract and sell. Must be responsive to staff needs to create new and original ideas, open to change and able to adjust to shifting priorities. This position also entails the skills of a print production artist who is responsible for commercial printer operations and how to navigate pre-production, printer approval process, and final artwork files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field is required
  • 5 years of graphic design experience is required
  • Good communications skills to help identify concerns and solutions
  • Meticulous, thorough and detailed.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite; Webex; Workday; Smartsheet; Internet/Intranet, Adobe, Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop, Acrobat, and either Adobe Go-Live or Dreamweaver.
  • Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
  • In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
  • Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Creates the look and feel for fully integrated marketing campaigns from conceptualization to implementation across multiple channels.
  • Is involved in the review for all create projects.
  • Designs and formats the layout/printout of online communications to enhance readability, clarity, compelling and easy to understand.
  • Develops the design/branding layouts, and production of brochures, web pages, electronic displays, flyers, posters, direct mail pieces, newsletters, magazine and newspaper advertisements and other marketing and advertising collateral.
  • Procures and oversees the design work of freelance designers and vendors.
  • Proofs artwork and files for release into production.
  • Updates team and internal clients in the visual communications process and the corporate branding standards.
  • Collaborates with other team members on design projects; adhering to project schedules while coordinating with other departments/vendors to create project deliverables.
  • Maintains and develops competency and awareness in the latest visual communications, design trends and production techniques.
  • Maintains knowledge of graphic design principles and digital print production processes.
  • Develops/creates and deploys website graphics & content on the company’s internal and external websites.
  • Must present conceptual marketing ideas to attract and persuade.
  • Maintains the quality of the designs and layouts – ex: spacing, proportionality, use of color, white space, and attractiveness of designs.
  • Continual use of spell check for all documents, during preliminary and final preparation.
  • Maintains a consistent look and feel throughout print, web, etc. mediums.
  • Estimates project hours and meeting deadlines for budget purposes.
  • Obtains project approvals within a reasonable deadline.
  • Responds to internal and external clients marketing requests in a timely manner.
  • Takes on internal and external design projects and assignments as requested.
  • Provides proactive updates within department, operations, management, and internal/external clients on project completion.
  • Participates in marketing update meetings with providers and leadership.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland’s customers.
  • Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging or its partners depending on work location.
