As the Creative Design Project Manager, you are a vital part of the Communications team and play a key role in the presentation of ADF visually. In this position, you will report to the Senior Director Creative Services and are responsible for managing creative design, writing and videography projects, assigning tasks, tracking the utilization of the team, ensuring deadlines are met, and facilitating cross-team communication on projects. You will work with stakeholders in a wide variety of departments and coordinate across them to meet needs in order of priority and business need. Your work is essential in ensuring that projects are completed with efficiency in support of maintaining a strong visual brand for ADF.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in project management within a marketing or creative environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Creative Design, or related field.
  • Knowledge of branding guidelines and ability to ensure brand alignment across projects.
  • Knowledge of print house terminology, paper stocks, materials, and formats.
  • Ability to work in a high intensity environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excels at fostering and maintaining relationships, while exercising diplomacy and tenacity.
  • Ability to be assertive with timelines and deadlines.
  • Multi-tasking skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can work independently and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to generate reports reflective of the team’s performance and stakeholder requests.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Creative Services, Print House Manager, Graphic Designers, Writers, Videographers, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure that the vision, scope, timeline, requirements, and overall direction of projects are being met and aligned with the strategic objectives of the Communications team and ADF’s ministry.
  • Work in partnership with the team leaders over design, videography, and writing to scope and deliver the project on Brief.
  • Gather needs assessments, provide status updates to the broader team and to stakeholders, manage a wide variety of creative projects simultaneously, and determine designers’, writers and videographers bandwidth for new projects.
  • Input and maintain all project information in the project management tool.
  • Perform intake duties for all new project requests, maintain work process flows, and work to optimize procedures to ensure projects are managed and completed efficiently.
  • Generate and maintain a weekly report for the Senior Director of Creative Services showing the status of current creative projects and outlining any roadblocks or potential issues and map capacity against the workload.
  • Act as the communications liaison between the creative team and stakeholders to assess needs and additional status updates for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in ensuring items on DokShop are up-to-date and meet brand standards.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, the ADF print house, and vendors in coordinating and communicating as you work toward the completion of creative projects.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to give real-time updates and discuss ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Maintain a calendar of project timelines, team capacity and work with Senior Director of Creative Services and stakeholders to determine project priorities when deadline conflicts arise.
