About The Position

Job Summary: The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for verifying, maintaining, and auditing credentials of healthcare providers to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Army regulations. The role supports medical readiness programs and ensures providers meet all licensing and privileging requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of medical credentialing experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, DoD, and Army regulations.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and credentialing processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and potentially obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify licenses, certifications, education, and training through primary sources for medical providers.
  • Maintain credentialing and privileging files, including Practitioner Credential Files (PCF) and Provider Activity Files (PAF).
  • Track credential expirations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct credentialing audits and prepare compliance reports.
  • Support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and provider compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with leadership and credentialing committees as needed.
  • Maintain credentialing databases and systems (MEDPROS, MRC2, e-Profile).
