About The Position

We are excited to be on the search for our newest Provider Credentialing Specialist. The provider Credentialing Specialist is responsible for facilitating centralized credentialing process for our providers. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for managing their workload, addressing all functions for initial and re-credentialing of Specailty1 Partners providers in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. All expiries must be maintained, and current. Data must be accurate in our database.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years year of Credentialing experience
2-5 years Excellent Customer Service Skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Working knowledge of computers, or a demonstrated technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn new systems
Database management skills, including querying, reporting and document generation
Ability to work independently and determine work priorities
Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

Facilitates maintaining a comprehensive credentialing program
Ensures all expired credentials are reviewed, obtained, and managed on a timely basis according to the credentialing processes and policies.
Collect and verify provider information and documentation for credentialing
Prepare and submit credentialing applications to insurance companies
Track and follow up on credentialing applications and re-credentialing processes
Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing records
Provide and engage in excellent customer service with practices and other entities related to the organization
Stay informed about changes in credentialing requirements and regulations
