Requirements

  • Solid, concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines

  • Organized, with great attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to any disruptions or changes in the day
  • Skill in establishing priorities with independent coordination and management of all day-to-day aspects
  • Ability to be resourceful and self-reliant to take initiative making decisions when issues arise
  • Multitasking and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Knowledge of medical provider credentialing and accreditation principles, policies, procedures and documentation
  • Prior credentialing experience performing similar duties in a medical setting
  • Advanced computer skills utilizing Word and Excel, emphasis on spreadsheeting and database management
  • Solid understanding of medical terminologies

Responsibilities

  • Review individual provider and/or facility location files for appropriate documentation required for credentialing process
  • Coordinate re-credentialing applications and conduct document research
  • Submit applications to credentialing manager for review
  • Review applications for completeness and confidential information collected, verification and documentation in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Communicate with providers and field associates regarding credentialing information and status updates
  • Initiate and follow through on all aspects of credentialing process, including initial and follow up credentialing, for all insurances our facility is contracted with
  • Monitor license and credential expirations by maintaining continuous credentialing and re-credentialing of all providers and/or locations
  • Collaborate with credentialing management in efforts to continue streamlining and updating of the credentialing process
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Ability to alternate between prolonged periods sitting, frequent standing, lifting, reaching, stooping.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs
