About The Position

As our Medical Staff Coordinator, you'll provide vital administrative support to the Medical Staff Office, managing efficient credentialing, privileging, and re-credentialing processes, thereby maintaining compliance and supporting quality care. Every day you will manage credentialing cycles (applications, verification, files) and support Medical Staff Committees (materials, minutes, communication). You'll ensure regulatory compliance, maintain the medical staff database, and serve as a resource. To succeed, you need meticulous attention to detail, strong organization, deep understanding of credentialing, excellent communication, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance. Provide assistance to CHI physicians, nurse practitioners, and RN’s, including scheduling all meetings, handling travel arrangements and coordinating all confidential matters concerning attorney’s other physicians, area business and professional leaders, and other projects as approved. Ensure that all meetings are on physician calendars, whether CHI related meetings or meetings initiated by outside sources, and send appropriate notifications to scheduling, clinic, and individual physicians. Distribute notices for all meetings attended by CHI physicians and/or nurse practitioners. Meetings maintained on physician calendars and NextGen. Create and distribute physicians’ monthly call schedules, including preliminary schedules and final schedules, keep running documentation log of all time off taken by physicians, weekdays and weekends worked, and maintains a yearly balance of these days among all physicians. New Physicians: process applications for state license, DEA, insurance, TPQVO, area hospitals, and insurance plans. Coordinate request for lab coats, signature stamp, office supplies, etc. Maintain current DEA certificates and state licenses for all providers.
