Credit Analyst Why This Role Matters The Credit Analyst plays a critical role in Greenbox Capital’s growth by evaluating credit risk and making disciplined, risk-based pricing decisions. This role balances portfolio quality, speed to decision, and competitiveness - ensuring merchants can access timely funding while protecting Greenbox’s capital. You’ll exercise independent judgment within established credit policies and partner closely with Sales and Underwriting to structure high-quality, executable deals. What Success Looks Like… You consistently make sound underwriting and pricing decisions aligned with policy and risk tolerance Deals are priced accurately and efficiently, supporting strong conversion without compromising quality Risk flags and fraud indicators are identified early and escalated appropriately Internal partners trust your judgment, communication, and recommendations You contribute ideas that improve underwriting speed, accuracy, and scalability How You’ll Be Measured… Productivity: Consistently meets monthly production targets, maintaining signed contracts within 85% of top-producer benchmarks Pricing Timeliness: Meets or exceeds pricing turnaround SLAs Quality & Accuracy: Maintains underwriting error rates within acceptable thresholds What You’ll Do… Conduct comprehensive credit reviews, including bank statements, tax returns, financial statements, and merchant/owner credit profiles Identify, assess, and resolve risk flags to determine creditworthiness and sources of repayment Apply underwriting judgment consistently within established credit policies Perform business due diligence using internal tools and third-party data sources to identify fraud or misrepresentation Execute risk-based pricing decisions aligned with portfolio performance goals and market conditions Collaborate with Sales, ISOs, and internal teams to communicate decisions clearly and professionally Manage competing priorities to meet service-level expectations Monitor industry trends and emerging risks, recommending improvements to policies, processes, or tools You’re a Strong Fit If… You enjoy analyzing financial data and translating it into clear risk decisions You’re comfortable making independent judgments in a fast-paced environment You balance customer and partner experience with disciplined risk standards You’re naturally curious and proactive about learning market trends and best practices You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams What You’ve Done Before… Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field required 2+ years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or a related financial role Hands-on experience with cash flow analysis, credit risk assessment, and risk-based pricing Tools and Expertise You’ll Bring... Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills preferred Experience working in Salesforce or a comparable CRM Solid understanding of underwriting principles, credit policy, and small business lending Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear conclusions and recommendations What to Expect from Our Interview Process We believe in a respectful, efficient, and transparent hiring experience.
