About The Position

Cultivate relationships with institutional investors / buy-side clients in order to distribute primary and secondary corporate bonds. Maintain and develop strong relationships with fixed income institutional investors (asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, hedge funds, banks, etc). Act as primary point of contact for execution, market updates, and product distribution. Market new issues and secondary trading opportunities to IG clients. Provide actionable market color, credit insights, and trade ideas to clients and colleagues. Track credit market developments and communicate implications effectively. Partner closely with trading, desk strategy, syndicate, and DCM to optimize client connectivity and execution.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 8 years of related work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Credit industry, market, and products
  • Track record of revenue generation and entrepreneurial nature
  • Prudent risk management skills
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills combined with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills and the ability to communicate highly complex ideas clearly and concisely

Nice To Haves

  • CFA and/or MBA degree, with a Finance focus
  • 10 years of related work experience
  • Experience in recruiting, mentoring and coaching junior talent
  • Technology / Coding experience (Python, R, VBA, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide insights and market color from strategic accounts to help trading desk manage market opportunities.
  • Deliver a comprehensive platform of senior management, trading, desk strategy and syndicate teammates to our strategic accounts.
  • Works with Syndicate and DCM to secure Indications of Interest and reverse inquiry for corporate (issuing) clients.
  • Have a collaborative approach towards other Market/Risk teammates in order to best leverage our platform.
  • Support the risk management needs of the trading desk through active sales engagement
  • Experience in financial markets
  • Understanding of different sales approaches using credit skills and market knowledge to manage client transactions
  • Consistently meeting quality individual revenue goals from a variety of FI investors.
