About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. In this role you will develop, lead and complete tests for multiple integrated spaceflight systems. You will share in the Integrated test team’s impact of developing tests plans and procedures that will be used throughout the New Glenn testing lifecycle. This role is a combination of test and operations development, planning and documentation, hands-on running tests and problem solving/data analysis. Early responsibilities include collaborating with Responsible Engineers and Designers to plan tests of the vehicle systems, ensuring these tests are crafted to verify the pertinent requirements. Other responsibilities include coordinating test crews, defining vehicle test configurations and developing and operating support equipment required for testing. In addition, this role will support subsystem development testing to reduce program risk. You will be responsible for writing test procedures and handling procedural redlines' day of test. During test execution, this role would act as lead test engineer for a given test with overall responsibility for safety of the test, the crew and the vehicle.
