About The Position

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Perform environmental maintenance duties and assist in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas. Verify that equipment functions properly, requisition for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and remove defective equipment. Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards. Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment. Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assemble, wrap, and sterilize trays of instruments. Sort mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and make them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner. Monitor inventory levels of required instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment; restock, label, and maintain inventory levels; submit requisitions, collect and distribute supplies and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • 1 year Experience in Related Field Required
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
