About The Position

Alliant Bank is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Customer Service Representative/Teller to join our team. As a front-line customer service representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive first impression for our customers. Your responsibilities will include account and service origination and maintenance, as well as responding to customer inquiries both by telephone and in person.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (associate’s degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent finance or banking experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of banking customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to use mathematics to accurately compute routine transactions
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication and listening skills
  • Computer and technological proficiency
  • Ability to learn and use banking software
  • Critical thinking abilities
  • Relevant experience performing clerical activities

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record daily transactions
  • Assist customers with account inquiries, transactions, and service requests
  • Efficiently handle customer requests and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Identify and recommend products and services that will benefit customers
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies and procedures
