About The Position

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: The Imaging services manager manages operations of Imaging services (ie Diagnostic, Breast Imaging, Molecular, MRI, CT, Mobile Imaging) located at hospital facilities and/or imaging centers. Hours: Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some off hours work required. Need experience with similar size hospital/department with proven results with recruitment/retention/employee satisfaction. Management experience strongly preferred. Licensure: Certification or registration in a radiologic related technology preferred. Provides operational accountability for areas of responsibility. Establishes priorities and provides direction for staff. Manages effective interviews and hiring of employees, setting performance expectations, mentoring, providing regular feedback, coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary. Manages work schedules to meet patient care needs. Serves as a role model for staff and the management team. Serves as an ambassador for Carilion Clinic. Facilitates the professional growth and development of staff through orientation, continuing education, and effective performance appraisal systems. Manages budget plans and ongoing expense management. Participates in strategic planning for areas of responsibility. Regularly reviews financial and statistical data and recommends actions. Creates reports as requested. Ensures safe, high-quality care for patients. Collaborates, develops and implements programs or processes to continuously enhance patient experience and satisfaction. Monitors and evaluates customer satisfaction, and the quality of services provided. Communicates appropriate information to the Senior Director and other team members in an ongoing and timely manner. Maintains productive, collaborative relationships with physicians, staff, management staff, other Carilion departments and external stakeholders. Responsible for compliance with applicable licensure, government, and accrediting standards, including completion and submission of appropriate clinical images and documentation manuals.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in imaging.
  • Must possess positive interpersonal communication skills, effective written skills, analytical finance skills, and a customer-focused philosophy of service delivery.
