About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join a hospital radiology team in Hackensack, New Jersey. The technologist will perform advanced CT imaging procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists. The role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • ARRT Certified R.T.(R)
  • New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning
  • Experience working with PACS imaging systems
  • Ability to work evening shifts and weekend rotations

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT (CT) Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Minimum 6 months of CT experience
  • Experience with EPIC EMR or other HIS/RIS systems
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a hospital environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures and produce high-quality sectional and 3D diagnostic images
  • Obtain and review patient clinical history and document information in PACS and EMR systems
  • Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients or family members
  • Administer or assist with contrast media as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
  • Verify imaging orders and communicate with radiologists and referring physicians when clarification is required
  • Position patients correctly using appropriate immobilization and shielding techniques
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain IV lines following clinical guidelines
  • Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures
  • Review images in PACS to ensure diagnostic quality and proper patient identification
  • Upload outside imaging studies for comparison by radiologists
  • Provide exam copies and imaging information to patients and referring providers when required
  • Maintain compliance with radiology protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies
  • Assist with interventional or therapeutic imaging procedures when needed
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients and address any concerns
  • Support departmental coverage including weekends and holidays as required
