Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
BLS

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in a Radiology Technologist program or similar type, preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Imaging Staff, assists with patient care duties.
Assists staff with the cleaning of equipment after each patient.
Duties may include greeting patients, directing patients to designated changing areas, and giving verbal instructions on changing for examinations.
Keep patients cared for in a timely manner and keep them informed of any delays and wait times while ensuring all work areas kept stocked and organized.
Transport patients as needed.
Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and medical records, while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
Report any issues with IT equipment, faxes, phones, etc to imaging staff.
Demonstrates working knowledge of infection control practices for patients, self, and staff.
Assists with clerical functions related to Meditech and PACS such as scanning documents, burning or uploading CDs.
Assists with image loan requests as necessary.
Understands policies and procedures for Diagnostic Imaging and Hospital.
Practices all patient interactions with compassion while adhering to double identifier practices.
Informed and aware of all Infection Control processes.
