About The Position

The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. All care, including primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, home visits, and imaging is included in members’ annual fee. Our mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, all while bringing humanity back into health care. Delivering such robust, personalized, and preventive health care is complex and requires a team-wide dedication to excellence. After successfully opening our flagship Institute in New York in 2022 and expanding to South Florida in 2024, we are now bringing the Atria experience to the West Coast with the launch of our Los Angeles Institute in late spring 2026. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join our founding LA team. You will be responsible for bringing rigor and thoroughness to the development of clinical operations in our largest clinic yet, as well as maintaining and supporting our strong and inclusive organizational culture and performance standards. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with clinical, finance, technology, care coordination, hospitality, content, events, and experience and to drive excellence.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved radiologic technology program.
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certificate in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • Current California Fluoroscopy Permit (required for specialized CT/Radiography procedures).
  • ARRT(R) required; ARRT(CT) certification required (or must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
  • Must hold a valid California venipuncture certification for radiologic technologists.
  • Documented evidence of Image Gently and Image Wisely dose pledges.
  • Must maintain 24 CE credits per two-year period (consistent with RHB and ARRT requirements).
  • Deep knowledge of California Title 17 and 10 CFR 20 (Federal regulations incorporated by California law).
  • Ability to determine optimal technical exposure factors to minimize patient dose while maintaining diagnostic quality.
  • Proficiency in managing departmental staffing and supplies during emergency surges or equipment failures.
  • Must be okay with working 5x10s, paid in accordance to CA law
  • Potential for weekend availability as we scale west coast region

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Execution: Performs routine and STAT CT examinations, ensuring precise patient positioning and adherence to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles as mandated by California law.
  • Technical Oversight: Reviews completed exams for quality; communicates critical findings to referring physicians and coordinates with reading institutions for DICOM file uploads and reports.
  • Clinical Assistance: Assists physicians during specialized procedures (e.g., CT-guided biopsies); operates and maintains equipment with expert proficiency.
  • Venipuncture & Contrast: Oversees and performs venipuncture for contrast administration in compliance with California Health and Safety Code Section 106985.
  • Radiation Protection Program: Manages the facility’s Radiation Safety and Protection Program in accordance with 17 CCR § 30253. This includes overseeing dosimetry record-keeping, film badge collection, and reporting safety events or "reportable medical events" to the RHB.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Acts as the primary site contact for inspections by the CDPH Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) and the ACR for all local imaging modalities (CT, X-ray, Dexa, Mammography).
  • Equipment & Physics: Schedules and coordinates mandatory physicist appointments for quarterly/annual equipment testing. Maintains staff dosimetry reports for review and signature by the Certified Supervisor and Operator (S&O).
  • Accreditation Leadership: Directs the site’s CT Accreditation compliance and renewal process with the American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Workflow Coordination: Manages daily patient flow and updates Care Coordination regarding equipment downtime or service disruptions.
  • Maintenance & QA: Maintains daily logs for Quality Assurance, preventative maintenance, and calibrations. Reports malfunctions to Vendor Field Service Engineers and the Radiology Director.
  • Staff Mentorship: Acts as a clinical preceptor, ensuring all staff sonographers/technologists maintain their California CRT status and follow site-specific safety protocols.
