We are seeking a Culinary Inventory Control Technician who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Culinary Inventory Control Technician will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The Dollywood Splash Country Culinary Inventory Control Technician is responsible for the successful operation of culinary accounting and inventory systems to ensure accurate figures and orders are produced in a timely and efficient manner. These responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • May require operating knowledge of manufacturing or computer equipment, or may require broad knowledge in clerical or service areas
  • Must be able to train to operate a pallet jack
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and other employees
  • Must reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in work

Responsibilities

  • Receive daily food orders, check orders for accuracy, and store inventory according to shop specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness in food storage areas by keeping the area free of slip, trip, and fall hazards
  • Practice First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods daily including dating and physically rotating products
  • Receive departmental supplies and distribute them to proper storage areas
  • Monitor receiving and accept or reject according to Dollywood Company and safe food handling practices
  • Inspect cooler and freezer temperatures, reporting any issues to Maintenance and moving product as necessary
  • Monitor department processes and Host conduct, reporting concerns related to and report loss prevention to necessary leader
  • Assist in spot checking of weekly inventories as necessary
  • Complete daily processes including processing of supplies, transfers, returns, purchase orders and invoices
  • Verify balances of journal registers, receiving registers, miscellaneous receiving, and vendor return/credit reports
  • Assist with completing daily Culinary reports
  • Resolve outstanding invoices and credits in a timely manner
  • Update price corrections within the Culinary financial systems
  • Run and update journals at each period end to ensure all discrepancies are resolved
  • Maintain required filing and paperwork
  • Input physical inventory, resolve cost of sales reports, balance the general ledger to close inventory.
  • Input Journal entries
  • Assists with weekly inventory at various food and beverage locations
  • Partner with The Dollywood Company Warehouse team and be the liaison for deliveries to and from the warehouse
  • Follows all Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines using associated injury prevention measures
  • Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts
  • Partner with location Team Leads to ensure accurate food and beverage orders are placed
  • Foster relationships with Dollywood Company Leadership and outside vendors
  • Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
