What You Will Be Doing: This position will work closely with the Claims Training Team by observing Claims Schools and attending weekly meetings. Additionally, they will assist Claims Training Specialists by assisting with assembling training materials and completing data entry. Involved in various department functions and activities for the purpose of learning Shelter-specific policies, procedures, and methods of conducting business. Exposure to many facets of department activities, including, but not limited to, traveling to visit branch office(s) or agent assigned job duties. Assists department with regular work and may be assigned to special projects as appropriate. Must be a current, full time college student at the sophomore or junior level, also enrolled full time for Fall 2026. Time commitment required is 8-10 weeks of on-the-job training learning Shelter policies, procedures, and computer systems within the assigned department. Must be available to travel to Home Office in Columbia, MO June 15th -19th and July 20th – 24th. Requirements

  • Must be a current, full time college student at the sophomore or junior level, also enrolled full time for Fall 2026.
  • Time commitment required is 8-10 weeks of on-the-job training learning Shelter policies, procedures, and computer systems within the assigned department.
  • Must be available to travel to Home Office in Columbia, MO June 15th -19th and July 20th – 24th.
  • Good personal computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain work schedule and work well with others in an office or field environment.
