About The Position
Housekeeping Aide / Custodian / Janitor Start Date: ASAP, we have a new employee orientation class starting soon Hourly Wage : $17.00/hr + benefits Shift: 7a-3p, part-time (2-3 shifts per week) Schedule : weekdays with an every other weekend rotation (Sat & Sun) Community Care Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for adults who need extra support. Some of our residents are here short term to recover after surgery or illness. Others live with us long term, including those with Alzheimer’s or memory loss. We also have a unit that cares for those suffering from mental illness. Every person here depends on us , and we take that responsibility to heart. Requirements
- At least 1 year similar experience in a medical / healthcare facility or commercial cleaning setting (strongly preferred)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- hold a High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) safety and sanitation rules
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to regularly push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds, and pass a pre-employment physical and background check
- This position will require extended periods of walking and standing to perform duties
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain resident rooms and common areas
- Empty trash, clean bathrooms, wash windows, and care for floors
- Vacuum, sanitize, and prepare rooms for new residents
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment throughout the building
