This occupation requires sweeping, cleaning, dusting, waxing, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, and removing trash and other duties necessary to maintain good housekeeping at company facilities. Perform various manual and mechanical tasks and assist Maintenance Technician. Performs such typical operations as sweeping, emptying waste baskets, scrubbing, mopping, washing, drying, polishing, and waxing floors, walls, woodwork, furniture, windows, cleaning carpets, drinking fountains and lavatories, replenishing supplies such as soap, towels, drinking cups, disinfectants, and sanitary napkins. Performs such typical tasks as moving heavy material, machinery, and equipment. Operates a steam jenny to clean barrels, machinery and racks; operate carpet cleaning equipment, auto strippers, buffers (high speed and low speed) and any other specialized equipment required to accomplish associated tasks. Clean air duct vents in ceilings where working off floor level is required. Move furniture as required. Isolated assignments in the use of power washing and concrete cleaning equipment and ground level window washing upon completion of proper equipment/safety training, along with a cooperative approach to waste collection – 'Centralized Trash’. Does not supervise or provide direction to other employees on a regular basis. Follow established procedures, and receive general supervision.
