About The Position
We are actively looking for a Full-Time Custodian to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of a shopping center. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or similar fields is advantageous, we are open to providing training. Requirements
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Strong public relations and communication skills
- Applicants must be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), and be capable of reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, walking, and navigating stairs throughout their shifts.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred, but we are willing to train
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas of the facility
- Communicate effectively and comprehend English
- Interact with customers, vendors, and management
- Clean and maintain various areas: sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass doors and mirrors, maintaining restrooms, and using a buffer machine in designated areas: office spaces, parking lot, and hallway/walk path.
- Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning
- Clean restrooms and restock supplies
- Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas
- Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases
- Stand and walk for long period of time
- Push trash bins as required
