About The Position
This position is responsible Provides a variety of cleaning duties and maintains the building to ensure the upkeep, neatness, and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis. Duty 1: Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors; sweeps sidewalks. Cleans windows, dusts, and polishes furniture and fixtures. Empty trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds and cleans trash cans. Duty 2: Assists in setting up meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks. Duty 3: Assists with seasonal program events as needed. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Duties are performed standing and requires squatting, climbing, bending and walking. Any of the preceding duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.).
Requirements
- Six months’ experience performing general janitorial and general maintenance duties: OR Any Equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
- Duties are performed standing and requires squatting, climbing, bending and walking.
- Extensive amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.).
