About The Position

You will be responsible for general housekeeping and cleaning of assigned areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or related custodial work
• Experience in safe handling of chemicals and cleaning agents
• Experience in waste disposal and recycling protocols
• Basic reading and comprehension (to follow instructions, labels, and safety data)
• Awareness of infection control and hygiene best practices

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and seep cleaning of floors in offices and common areas
• Washes accessible interior and exterior windows
• Clean, sanitize and replenish restrooms using established practices and procedures
• Complete trash/recycling disposal
• Empties/ cleans wastebaskets and trash containers
• Cleans, dusts, and wipes furniture, walls, machines and equipment
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
• Attends to janitorial emergencies when necessary
• Applies best efforts and full capability each day to the work assigned by own manager.
• Advises manager when: o An assignment is not understood. o An assignment conflicts with knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time/resources. o Obstacles to completing the assignment exist or are likely to occur. o Opportunities to better complete or improve the assignment exist or may occur.
• Understands and demonstrates our cultural expectations.
