SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Position Summary: The Specialty Product Builder II will assemble wood furniture for houses of worship and courtrooms.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 year experience Woodworking craft skills
  • Understanding of woodshop machinery and wood joinery is desired
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
  • A self-starting, goal-oriented, customer-focused individual who takes personal accountability and acts in accordance with the Company’s Values

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble standard wood product & Chancel furniture that are single-step and general assembly
  • Examples: samples, pulpits, clergy chairs, pew frontals, tables, communion rails
  • Read blueprints
  • Single Step and General Assembly
  • Assembly of modified pew ends
  • Use power equipment such as edge sander, table saw, router, shaper and overhead router setups
  • Regular lifting and positioning of parts up to 60 pounds
  • Attention to fine detail/ must be detail-oriented
  • Able to use handheld power tools and complex power tools with accuracy and precision
  • Able to assist in training employees
  • Willingness to be trained in specialty shop processes and machinery usage
  • Ability to read and understand complex blueprints
  • Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal
  • Able to read measurement with various measurement tools
  • 5-S audits and daily cleaning
  • Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
