The Customer Development Representative promotes and sells existing Martin Engineering products and services and develops potential customer leads through phone contacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of related sales/telesales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes outgoing calls and prospects for customers.
• Maintains ongoing contact with established customers.
• Plans and organizes sales activities, including phone sales, sales tracking reports, and lead generation.
• Coordinates activities with Territory Sales Managers and Dealers, including preparing and following up on sales quotations and orders.
• Works with service and technical personnel to develop new ideas and innovations to meet ever-changing customer needs.
• Maintains and updates the SalesLogix database.
• Communicates and distributes required information to internal personnel, departments, and customers accurately, timely, and professionally by telephone, e-mail, and mail systems.
• Answers incoming calls regarding products; responds to questions and requests for information promptly; informs sales staff of new requests for information.
• Complies with OSHA/MSHA requirements regarding safety issues, use of safety equipment, material safety data sheets, etc.
• Maintains constant contact with customer service to ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
