About the position

The position involves delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while providing efficient checkout service. The role requires engaging with customers and patients, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience. Responsibilities include operating cash registers, maintaining store cleanliness, and assisting with various operational tasks. The employee will also participate in training and personal development as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous and efficient checkout service.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Provides customers with friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items.
• Processes customer purchases, including cash handling and returns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and merchandise.
• Assists with food item separation and stock rotation.
• Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos.
• Monitors and fills web pick-up orders.
• Ensures store cleanliness and orderly appearance.
• Complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer to be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
