About The Position

For over 75 years, Terrazzo and Marble Supply Co. (T&M) has been one of the largest distributors of natural stone slab and tile, quartz surfacing, and a manufacturer of poured-in-place terrazzo and resinous flooring. Terrazzo & Marble Supply is looking for a Customer Service Representative for our Resinous Division. This full-time, permanent role is responsible for providing customers with courteous service, in person or over the phone, and for retaining existing customers and developing new business by delivering professional, efficient service. Is the main contact for prompt job quotes for the sales team and customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience.
Strong customer service background, preferably in the construction and/or flooring industry.
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
Proficient in order processing systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong mathematical skills are needed to effectively develop quotes for customers.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
Ability to work with demanding or impatient customers is required.
Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Professional appearance and demeanor
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

Answers phone calls, takes customer orders, and coordinates pickups and shipments between customers and the warehouse.
Provides timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries.
Builds effective relationships and trust with customers and potential customers by listening to their needs and informing them about the products and services best suited to their situation.
Responds effectively to customers' inquiries.
Regularly prepares quotes, reports, and correspondence.
Performs product demonstrations when needed.
Cold calling on potential leads.
Overnight travel may be required to attend conferences, trade shows, or company events.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
