About The Position

The JCSU IT & Research and Development Support Services Task Order delivers comprehensive information technology and engineering support to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Operational Technology Division (OTD), Jade and Computer Science Unit (JCSU). This program provides mission-critical IT user support, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT services, alongside specialized developer and engineering support for mobile device analysis, collection, and exploitation. Job description The position involves extensive experience in researching and evaluating the security of iOS, macOS, and Android devices, wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and programming in C, C++, Python, Rust, and ARM64 assembly. A master's degree and 10 years of professional experience in offensive cyber are required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in all aspects of offensive cyber (i.e., CNE) - including vulnerability research and operations
  • Extensive and in-depth experience in researching and evaluating the security of iOS and macOS devices and operating systems
  • Extensive and in-depth experience in researching and evaluating the security of Android devices and operating systems
  • Extensive and in-depth experience in wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • In-depth experience in programming with C, C++, Python, Rust, and ARM64 assembly
  • Masters Degree in Cyber Security / Cyber Security Engineering / equivalent degree; BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Electronics Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced research and hands-on security analysis of iOS and macOS platforms, identifying vulnerabilities across operating systems, firmware, and application layers, and translating findings into actionable security insights.
  • Conduct deep technical evaluations of Android devices and operating systems, including system internals, hardware-software interactions, and emerging threat vectors, to strengthen platform resilience against sophisticated adversaries.
  • Perform security analysis and exploitation research across wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, assessing protocol implementations, attack surfaces, and real-world exploitation scenarios.
  • Design, develop, and analyze low-level and high-level tooling using C, C++, Python, Rust, and ARM64 assembly, enabling reverse engineering, vulnerability discovery, and proof-of-concept development.
  • Apply advanced academic and practical foundations in cybersecurity, supported by a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Engineering, or a related discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronics Engineering with equivalent professional experience.
