About The Position

The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, and continual improvement of the security solutions identified in the organization's security program to ensure that all information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure, and processes are adequately protected in the digital ecosystem in which the organization operates.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience preferably in financial services, insurance, healthcare or a highly regulated environment.
  • Security+ Certification required.
  • Demonstrated competency in cyber security design, administration and operations.
  • Experience with architecting and engineering of physical security systems, Office 365 Security, automation and scripting, Cisco security infrastructure, Docker container virtualization, Cloud security, Identity management, GPO conditional access and Microsoft InTune experience.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Dedicated and passionate about cyber security technologies.
  • Constantly learning and evolving to have awareness of current security best practices, cybercrime, hacking techniques and keeps pace with the industry’s latest vulnerability trends.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Capability to work and collaborate with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and professional manner.
  • Capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain security operations and products that monitor and provide compliance across the digital assets owned, controlled and/or processed by the organization.
  • Collaborate with other security administrators, engineers, architects and other operational teams to coordinate, facilitate and effectively implement and maintain compliance with the organization's security policies and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain Microsoft Active Directory On-Prem and in the Cloud.
  • Administer SIEM and optimization with Splunk and Microsoft Defender.
  • Facilitate IR (Incident Response) investigations.
  • Engage in vulnerability management processes.
  • Proactively hunt threats (Tenable) and perform security analysis (email forensics).
  • Facilitate script automation (Powershell).
  • Operate and maintain Intrusion Protection System.
  • Operate and maintain Azure AD hybrid-environments.
  • Operate and maintain firewall infrastructure, firewall access-lists.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to servicing needs.
  • Complete all required training and comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.
  • Foster and preserve a culture of inclusion.
