Requirements

Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or higher).
Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Ability to obtain CEH or CSA+ certification within first 6 months.
At least 4 years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration, storage systems, and/or network systems.
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Active Security Clearance is a plus

Responsibilities

Administer and manage Windows, Linux, and/or VMware systems within an enterprise DoD environment.
Support virtualization, storage systems (iSCSI, NFS), and enterprise network configurations.
Provide basic network administration support, particularly with Cisco and/or Palo Alto routers, switches, and firewalls.
Troubleshoot issues related to systems, storage, and network connectivity.
Perform daily system and application administration as well as project-based tasks.
Interact professionally and promptly with end users to resolve issues.
Apply defense-in-depth principles to secure systems and networks, including: IDS/IPS, antivirus, logical traffic separation, automated malware analysis, and compliance with DISA SRG/STIG.
Monitor system availability and performance for servers, storage, and networks.
Ensure IT policies and procedures are documented and maintained.
Support accreditation and certification efforts under DoD standards.
Contribute to continuity and recovery planning for cybersecurity and IT operations, including support for: Component and capability failures Communication and personnel outages Site-level contingencies
Maintain secure and reliable backup processes, including documented plans and proper storage and labeling.
