Position Summary ANSER is seeking a Cyber Workforce Analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) in developing, implementing, and analyzing cyber workforce policies and programs. In this role, you will provide research, guidance, and recommendations on governance, recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives for the cyber workforce, supporting strategic planning and policy decisions.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar)
  • 5 years of professional experience in workforce policy analysis, HR programs, or related roles supporting federal, military, or defense organizations. Experience should include:
  • Conducting research and analysis of workforce policies and governance
  • Supporting development or revision of policies, directives, or guidance
  • Coordinating with multiple stakeholders to implement workforce programs

Nice To Haves

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working at the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) level
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint development and administration
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Highly motivated professional with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and specialized analyses of cyber workforce policies, plans, and processes.
  • Support development, revision, and staffing of DoD Directives, Instructions, and other official issuances.
  • Integrate cyber workforce policy, governance, recruitment, retention, and professional development programs into strategic plans and implementation initiatives.
  • Review and draft responses, and develop recommendations for the DoD CIO on legislative proposals related to the Cyber Excepted Service and other key workforce initiatives.
  • Coordinate policy documents and recommendations with DoD Legislative Affairs, Military Services, and Component stakeholders.
