Digital Consultants seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst – DevSecOps & Continuous Monitoring to support the NCATS Cybersecurity Support Services contract. This role will support operational cybersecurity activities including vulnerability management, incident response coordination, and continuous monitoring across NCATS systems and research platforms. The Cybersecurity Analyst will assist in implementing automated security monitoring capabilities and integrating security into system development and operations processes.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Public Trust or ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Certifications: Security+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP or similar certification required. CySA+ or similar certification preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience providing operational cybersecurity support.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management, incident response, and continuous monitoring activities.
  • Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other federal civilian cybersecurity programs implementing NIST RMF and FISMA compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management and incident response activities.
  • Knowledge of security monitoring tools and log analysis techniques.
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps and security automation practices.
  • Understanding of secure software development lifecycle principles.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks including NIST RMF.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • The candidate must be able to travel to other worksites as required and with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to sit, stand, use computers and monitors, and perform duties in an office environment for extended periods.
  • The candidate must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion (e.g., moving a case of paper or similar task) that may occur occasionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other federal civilian cybersecurity programs implementing NIST RMF and FISMA compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
  • CySA+ or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuous monitoring and vulnerability management activities.
  • Assist with incident response coordination and reporting.
  • Monitor system logs and security events for potential threats.
  • Support security automation and DevSecOps integration.
  • Assist with implementation of secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Support vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
  • Provide security monitoring support for research platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Assist in preparing cybersecurity reports and compliance documentation.
  • Support coordination with cybersecurity engineers and ISSOs to maintain system security posture.
