Job PurposeThe Cybersecurity Analyst II is responsible for safeguarding information system assets by identifying and resolving security problems and threats. Collaborate within an expanding Cybersecurity team, and work closely with internal EnerSys teams to ensure new and continued compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and required programs and initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

  • This position is subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including ITAR. Employment is contingent upon the applicant's ability to qualify as a ‘U.S. person’ under 22 C.F.R. § 120.62. A ‘U.S. person’ includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
  • A degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity) - preferred
  • Three or more years of practical experience in an information security role
  • Strong analytical critical thinking skills
  • Previous experience working in large scale environments with diverse technologies
  • CySA+, GSEC, or similar certifications are required
  • Problem management / resolution skills; project management skills; generally accepted security principles.
  • Ability to analyze data, resources, and schedules to make decisions that affect a project on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and triage security alerts and events to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conduct in‑depth investigations of security breaches and cybersecurity incidents, produce detailed reports, and advise on remediation
  • Contribute to and maintain regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring the organization adheres to frameworks such as ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST CSF, TISAX, Essential Eight, EU CRA, NIS2, or other relevant guidelines
  • Deploy and standardize cybersecurity solutions across global operations and critical systems.
  • Plan, design, and execute simulated phishing campaigns to assess employee security awareness
  • Evaluate and interpret emerging security trends, threats, and attack vectors
  • Manage and tune security tools such as Data Security, SIEM platforms, endpoint security, and other security software
  • Perform other duties as assigned
