Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity or information security experience with 3+ years in a high-level role.
  • Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, Cortex XDR, WildFire, Panorama, SentinelOne, Rapid7, and deception technologies.
  • Strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking knowledge, including routing, switching, segmentation, and packet analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading enterprise Incident Response programs.
  • Experience working with and managing external SOC providers.
  • Ability to coordinate response efforts in large, complex, distributed environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executives.

Nice To Haves

  • security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CCSP and experience in manufacturing or highly distributed enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical and operational owner of core security platforms including Palo Alto firewalls, Cortex XDR, WildFire, Panorama, SentinelOne, Rapid7, and deception technologies.
  • Lead endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, and continuous tuning of all security tools.
  • Design and enforce secure network architectures in partnership with infrastructure and networking teams, applying strong Layer 2 and Layer 3 traffic analysis.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve the enterprise Incident Response program.
  • Lead containment, eradication, recovery, and root cause analysis for cybersecurity incidents.
  • Coordinate tabletop exercises and simulations to strengthen response readiness.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external SOC partners and drive detection, escalation, and service improvements.
  • Define detection use cases, alert thresholds, and escalation procedures.
  • Contribute to and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures aligned to business risk and compliance needs.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on security posture, risks, and trends.
  • Mentor and develop internal security and infrastructure staff while promoting a culture of security awareness across the enterprise.
