About The Position

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity Specialist to support Cargo PM. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Ensure the appropriate Risk Management Framework (RMF) operational security posture is maintained for the assigned PM Cargo systems in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Authority to Operate (ATO) packages. Ensure Plans Of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) or remediation plans are in place for vulnerabilities identified during monitoring activity, audits, inspections, etc., and implementing, or overseeing, required corrective actions. Effect continuous coordination with the organizational cybersecurity personnel for which the systems are demonstrated, tested, or fielded. Maintain organizational situational awareness and initiate actions to improve or restore the cybersecurity posture of assigned PM Cargo systems. Assist the Organization-Information Systems Security Manager (O-ISSM) in meeting their duties and responsibilities and initiate protective measures for cybersecurity incidents. Ensure PM Cargo users under the ISSO’s purview have the requisite security clearances and access authorization, and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities before being granted access to those systems. Implement and enforce assigned cybersecurity policies and procedures defined by cybersecurity-related documentation. In coordination with the O-ISSM, initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered or reported. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience.
  • Will have experience working in the Aerospace/DoD industry.
  • Experience with mitigating potential cyber threats and expediently resolving issues.
  • Strong presentation skills are a must.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
