About The Position

The Dairy Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for the operational dairy supply chain execution of the tactical business plans, supervisory duties for Dairy Supply Chain staff, and cross functional collaboration efforts to achieve overall business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Dairy Science, Math, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred
  • 4 years of related work experience in Supply Chain Management required
  • Experience with Supply Chain and/or Enterprise Resource Planning systems required
  • Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated aptitude for leading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex information in a concise and professional manner
  • Ability to foster teamwork to instill strong problem solving skills, while developing effective interpersonal collaboration
  • Ability to actively listen, problem solve and communicate well with other departments
  • Critical thinking skills; the ability to make effective decisions among broadly variable conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Adept at recognizing, adapting and responding to changing conditions by prioritizing and organizing workloads effectively
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and databases
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

  • Lead weekly operational Dairy Supply Chain production planning and direct staff on plan adjustments needed based on guidance by the tactical business plan
  • Analyze and provide a weekly report to managers for assigned business area reviewing the performance to Tactical Supply Chain Plans
  • Collaborate with Strategic Supply Chain team to identify and resolve data discrepancies between the Operational and Tactical Dairy Supply Chain planning systems
  • Collaborate with Strategic Supply Chain for plant capabilities and identify risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop and analyze operational dairy supply chain scenarios for regional business decisions to compliment the national Tactical Dairy Supply Chain Plans
  • Analyze monthly models and advise for necessary data adjustments to align the Operational and Tactical Dairy Supply Chain plans
  • Collaborate with Dairy Scheduling Manager to review farm milk supply usage and regional organic utilization
  • Work cooperatively with cross departmental teams to execute the operational dairy supply chain production plans
  • Verify system data accurately reflects current and future business capabilities
  • Prepare reports for daily/weekly/monthly metrics and management analysis
  • Execute new processes, projects and efficiency studies related to CROPP’s dairy operations as directed by VP and Senior Manager of Dairy Supply Chain
  • Lead project initiatives as directed by the Dairy Supply Chain leadership, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Identify business needs and provide recommendations to the Dairy Supply Chain leadership, highlighting potential opportunities for department projects or cross-department initiatives
  • Actively engage in regular conference calls with external plant partners and cross department teams
  • Complete Setup Request forms accurately and completely and submit to appropriate teams
  • Oversee accurate and timely completion of transactional activity within the ERP system and other systems
  • Communicate performance expectations by evaluating performance and providing timely feedback through formal and informal venues
  • Provide training and growth opportunities to develop individuals personally and professionally
  • Lead and coach team members in accordance with CROPP’s Cultural Beliefs
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Work cooperatively on department strategy and cross-regional planning or issues within the dairy supply chain
  • Serve as after-hours support, including night and weekend calls as needed
  • Collaborate with Dairy Scheduling to review farm milk supply usage and regional grass-fed and/or organic utilization
  • Consider and manage COG’s when making business decisions
  • Foster and maintain relationships with co-manufacturers
  • Monitor and manage expenses to department budget
  • Facilitate team meetings as required
  • Create and analyze production reports upon request
  • Participate in special projects as assigned
  • Provide input for co-manufacturing contracts as assigned
  • Develop and execute new hire training plan for team members
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
