About The Position

The Community Connect Data Analyst (CCDA) serves as a professional role model in promoting the understanding, integration, and application of information services in a healthcare setting. The CCDA acts as a liaison between Community Connect sites and Providence information services, supporting all care givers throughout the reporting spectrum in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of reporting and analytics within Epic. The CCDA supports the analysis, implementation, evaluation, optimization, and education of reporting and analytics for Community Connect sites within Epic. The position requires team participation skills delivered in a complex, stressful environment, skilled use of reporting applications both within and outside of Epic, information services, Microsoft tools, and fundamentals of project and change management. Ability to independently work with clients, multiple IS groups, and leadership to ensure strong support in and success of each organization's reporting and analytics objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Healthcare, or another related field of study -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Within 90 days of hire date: Epic Readiness certification or proficiency in one or more of the primary applications Analyst is supporting.
  • Within 1 year of hire date: Credentialed Trainer or Facilitator in one of the primary applications the Analyst is supporting or the equivalency.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in a position that has the same or similar primary duties working with a revenue cycle or managed care information system within a healthcare setting.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in an Epic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of reporting and analytics experience within a healthcare setting.
  • Leads engaging training sessions, both in online virtual settings and one-on-one formats.
  • Collaborates effectively across cross-functional teams to identify challenges, share insights, and implement strategic solutions.
  • SQL & Database Management: Ability to query and manipulate data from relational databases.
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to present insights clearly.
  • Statistical Analysis: Understanding of basic statistics to interpret trends, outliers, and patterns.
  • System Integration Knowledge: Understanding how different systems (EHR, ERP, CRM) communicate and share data.
  • Data Governance & Security: Awareness of HIPAA, data privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Report Development: Building and maintaining reports for operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Communication: Translating complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying root causes and proposing data-driven solutions.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding organizational goals and aligning analytics to support them.
  • Adaptability: Navigating between clinical, financial, and technical teams with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between Community Connect sites and Providence information services.
  • Support caregivers in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of reporting and analytics within Epic.
  • Analyze, implement, evaluate, optimize, and educate on reporting and analytics for Community Connect sites.
  • Work independently with clients, multiple IS groups, and leadership to ensure strong support for reporting and analytics objectives.
