About The Position

Data Analyst II is responsible for providing a variety of services in support of agency analysis and quality improvement while assisting in compliance with DCFS, DHS, Medicaid, COA, and other accreditation and funder standards, as applicable. This role develops tools and methods for data collection and collects, organizes, and interprets data sets to help improve agency services, operations, and strategies. Data compiled and analyzed includes outcomes, quality reviews, satisfaction surveys, and other reports concerning quality improvement activities and results. This position partners with staff to support understanding of the purpose, impact, and goals of data entry and analysis across all program roles.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience developing, analyzing, and interpreting data sets, including performance metrics, program outcomes, and trend analysis.
  • Experience creating concise, visually informative reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership, direct service staff, information technology, and administrative departments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate data implications for operational, programmatic, and strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and experience with Salesforce or similar data management systems, with the ability to adapt to new platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear, non-technical manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must meet DCFS/CANTS Clearance Requirements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain proof of automobile insurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required, or a certification in Data Analytics.
  • Minimum of two years of experience generating, interpreting, and forecasting data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of outcome definitions and data collection methods.
  • Develop reports to analyze performance metrics, program outcomes, and trends.
  • Provide regular reporting within specified deadlines.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Perform special projects and assignments, including ad hoc department reporting and program analyses.
  • Document processes and procedures used for all reporting and analyses.
  • Create and maintain ad hoc and routine performance metrics reports.
  • Analyze data and clearly articulate implications for program, agency, and federal programming.
  • Support agency-requested data needs in alignment with Hoyleton’s standards of excellence and report data trends or implications that may impact agency decisions or department functioning.
  • Serve as a liaison between leadership, direct service staff, and information technology to support continuous quality improvement in data collection methods.
  • Assist in the identification, collection, and interpretation of data related to agency risk items in collaboration with the Risk Management Partner.
  • Assist in responding to and fulfilling public and government agency requests for data and information.
  • Design program reports, analyze performance, and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain mechanisms to monitor program performance and assess the effectiveness of program interventions.
  • Meet regularly with staff at all levels to support understanding of the impact and goals of data entry and analysis.
  • Demonstrate leadership within the department by supporting staff skill development and assisting with assigned projects.
  • Refine program management practices through the development of new reporting and analytical tools.
  • Design, build, and maintain analytical support tools.
  • Support quality improvement planning and execution by providing data-informed observations and recommendations.
  • Present complex topics in a non-technical manner using both visual and verbal communication for multiple levels of staff and leadership.
  • Perform administrative duties related to financial and operational data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with the development of performance metrics and data tracking methods for administrative departments, including HR, Finance, and Training.
  • Assist with data needs related to identifying trends and implications associated with critical incidents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
