Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Data Analyst Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer. As an Data Analyst Intern, a typical day might include the following: 1. Review data, create charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned. 2. Develop ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies. 3. Support team to improve current reports and data sources. 4. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 5. Understand. Create. Simplify. 6. Other duties as assigned. This job might be for you if: Current student pursuing a degree in Analytics, Math, Statistics, or Social Sciences Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and relational database design Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills Strong attention to detail Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Pullman, WA- This position is located in Pullman, WA.
