Position Summary: The Data Analyst plays a critical role in managing, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making processes and program effectiveness. The Data Analyst is primarily responsible for database administration, corrective action plans, audits, statistics, surveys, trending, data analysis, reporting, and ensuring up-to-date information on policies, procedures, and regulations to make informed recommendations. Additionally, the Data Analyst, provides comprehensive reports with outcomes and recommendations, and contributes to data-driven improvements in AAPCI programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data analysis, statistics, public administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in database administration, data analysis, and reporting within the housing or social services sector.
  • Knowledge of DHS, HRA, DOHMH, and OTDA regulations, data requirements, and reporting standards preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software, database management systems, and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data findings to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in developing corrective action plans, conducting audits, and implementing data-driven improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in handling sensitive data and information.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data-related challenges.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Database Administration: Managing and maintaining databases related to AAPCI programs, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing statistical data, survey responses, identify trends and patterns.
  • Corrective Action Plans: Assist the Director of Quality Assurance in developing and implementing corrective action plans based on data analysis to address any identified issues or areas of improvement.
  • Audits: Conducting regular audits of AAPCI program data to ensure compliance with regulations and funder requirements.
  • Research: Conducting research and analysis to compare AAPCI programs with those of similar organizations to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Trainings: Research assigned training topics and support the Training & Development Coordinator in the planning and facilitation of training sessions as needed.
  • Policy and Procedure Regulations: Staying up to date with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to AAPCI programs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to communicate data findings, support decision-making, and facilitate continuous improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
