Greystones is hiring for a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of complex datasets. The ideal candidate will have experience working with IRS data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with IRS data, including business return elements, return processing, and return metadata.
  • Intermediate proficiency in R and SQL.
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations in Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating and streamlining data from disjoint databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data, including business return elements, return processing data, and return metadata.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines to integrate and process data from disjoint and heterogeneous databases.
  • Streamline data workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
  • Use R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and data manipulation.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand data needs and present insights clearly.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable data governance standards.
